Squadron 904 has just been alerted for a missing person search in Susquehana County for a man that went missing on Saturday afternoon, according to state police.

Philip R. Page of 1342 Lakeview Road, Jackson Twp., walked away from his residence at about 3:45 p.m. and was last seen wearing a black or gray T-shirt and gray sweat pants, police said.  Mr. Page is described as 6 feet 1 inch tall, 190 pounds, with reddish brown hair along with a beard and mustache, police say.

Ground and air assets are expected to be used throughout the day and night searches are expected to be conducted.

Crews from Pennsylvania Wing’s Civil Air Patrol were called to assist with a search for a missing hunter on Friday, October 24th.  Several teams and members responded to the scene at Nescopeck State Park in Luzerne County. 

Anthony Yacowatz, 58, of Hazleton was found dead by search teams around 3:30p.m. on Friday afternoon.  He had been hunting with his son and a friend when they became separated.  Yacowatz was wearing hunting gear with bright orange clothing. 

CAP, along with the Department of Conservation of Natural Resources, Pennsylvania State Police, and various fire departments and rescue agencies used manpower, helicopters, fixed wing aircraft, and al-terrain vehicles to aid in the search. 

Squadron 904 was put on alert Saturday, October 18th for a search involving a downed helicopter. The aircraft was enroute to Ohio from New York. Civil Air Patrol ground teams were put on standby and Pennsylvania Wing aircraft were deployed for an aerial search.

The squadron was later canceled because the crash was located by New York State Police Aviation. A lone Pilot, Earl Small, perished in the crash. The wreckage was found in a heavily wooded area near Dryden, New York. New York State Forest Rangers and Civil Air Patrol members assisted at the scene of the crash.
